they were my own pistons, and a mig member agreed to press the rodds off, get pistons machined, re-fit rods and post back with new rings and shells. Stated 2 week turnaround, that was mid jan. Cheque sent in box with pistons cleared from my account on 30th jan.

Re: Nova SRI - Long term project

no need for the name and shame.

ill be honest, yes its has taken quite abit longer than gary, definately i had hoped for.

the parts have been sent 100%. some of the problem was waiting for pistons to be pressed off, i was working 5on/5off and had collapsed so by time id sent pistons, go down to see if pressed off, and finding out they hadnt, it would be another 5 days, then back in work, then waiting for machine shop to make jig, machine, etc, and let down agen, then pressed back on, etc. then i got ****ed about with mate getting parts. then due to costing alot more than what was originally thought, and having hardly any extra £££ it took a bit longer to pay for bits.

    but rest assured:

pistons, shells, rings, c16xe loom and ecu all been sent.

    SHOCK HORROR! They arrived today!

I dont know who machined them, but in all honesty i could have done better myself with a vertical head mill (if i had access to one)

Anyway thats the engine built back up, hopefully make a start fitting it 2moro. pics/update on sunday or monday.
