Its a massive project, I wish you luck
Mart | If I ever got around to doing it I was going to cut the back end out of a Subaru Justy AWD and weld it into a nova. Same track width as a nova but would fit an EVO rear diff and gearbox and 5stud hubs front and rear etc. No unsightly wide arches and perfect sleeper . |

| Fair play for attempting this, mucho respect
However I have to agree with some people that you would be better off putting your money into a proper 4wd conversion
2 Engines is just asking for problems, sorting a proper 4wd system is equally as difficult but IMO you would see much better results from the single engine setup.
Like your V6 Corsa it is sometimes good to be different so best of luck with it |

| no-one is gonna look twice at a 4wd corsa, whats to look at?
A twin engine will grab peoples attention, as well as uber quick 1/4 times.
Though for all that fabrication a big block chevy rwd would be the only way for me

| TBH mate that isn't exactly true.
People that don't know what they are looking for might not appreciate it as it doesn't stand out but I would find a Corsa running 500bhp on evo running gear more interesting from the fabrication and mechanical side of things.
However if your talking just rwd and a chevy lump then I would put this in it |

| i know what i'm looking at, and I wouldnt notice an Evo rear diff and shafts under the back of a lowered corsa, nor would I notice the engine or box with the bonnet shut, lol
From the sounds of it Beardy wants a car that draws more crowds than the EDS nova, and if he leaves it bulkheadless thats what he will have, plus it gets brownie points for being all-vauxhall
If he really wanted purely just to go quick, then he should forget about 10 sec quarters and realise that with a v8 engine like above, he could be easily into the 8's,on treads.
But I dont think this is what its all about, and I dont want to detract from what will be an awesome project. |

| Fair enough, for the reason of looking good then 2 engines is probably a better idea.
However from a reliable consistant performace point of view 1 engine and 4wd woule be miles better but tbh maybe a lot harder to achieve due to costs of evo running gear etc.. and making it all work correctly.
Either way it already looks like it has had much better fabrication than the EDS nova so the finished article should look very nice even if it doesn't perform as expected |

| Love all the comments people
as for using just a good 4x4 system, they are a few reasons for not doing this. I wanted a 1/4mile and 0-60 car as thats what really floats my boat and i think this could be a good setup for this, and in the end will both get the same results (Dubsports twin engine Golf and Dubwisers Green Golf). Also where you are saying less problems, i know it sounds silly BUT i really want problems as it gives me somthing to do once i have finished a car i get bored and want to work/build somthing, this car can keep me going for a good while LOL Plus i have already got/started a 4x4 Corsa project but the lad whos funding it has run out of funds. So as soon as hes sorted himself i can carry on building that. |

| ******Update 10th July 2006******
Not really done that much, as been on a track day with the saxos this week so been spending time getting them ready.
I have done a few things.
Done the rear Cross and upper strut brace (still need to do rear thick on from suspension top to suspension top)
Finished off the door bar, nice fit so easy to get in and out (fixing plates are ready to go on, they are the plates with circles in )
Cut the full bulk head out, as i think this look so much better and with everything hidden in the bay look class (like on the novas)
Done my Dash bar ready for all my gauges, as when i saw the twin engine golf dash i wanted the same (see pic below)
Today we got the engine in the rear space and the shafts all in so we can start working on engine mount this week.
I am hoping to start beadblasting the car late next week ready for all the bodywork and new coat of white paint
Will try and get some pics of the parts i have towards the weekend for what i have ready to go on.
Plus maybe some pics of my Inlet :P

| One question I've never understood - how do you get both engines in sync? And how do you get the gearbox going, are you using two linkages? argh!
