| A Nova GTE/GSI master and servo will suffice for that, same as on the Cav SRI's I believe! Oh, is all the stuff from the engine flogged off as I have a contact for a guy who grass tracks Novas and seems to think that 1.3 bits are hard to come by, depends on if he intends on going to that level I suppose? If anything is still available PM me details and I will pass it on. Project looks great!

| MIGWeb User | Good luck with this Keith. I tried to do lots of research when I started to go LET but there doesn't seem to be much info out there. I've put as much info in my rebuild thread as I can to help other people but feel free to ask if there's anything else. So what box are you planning on running? Gonna run it standard for a while first? Thats my plan so that I've got something to look forward too! Simps. |

| MIGWeb User | Hey mate - Running a F28, with quaiffe ATB, which i just bought off Dave Dempsey from here. Should arrive with me tomorrow. My builds going to be a slow one as i'm totally gutting the shell, fitting new quaters, back panel, sand blasting it and changing the colour. However all the brakes, suspension etc is only a year old so its just the shell and engine i have to sort. The engine will get a gasket rebuilt, and will be run standard for the first few months, then i'll up to Phase 2, as most people recon its the most reliable good power from an otherwise standard engine. Will keep the thread updated as much as i can - I'm going for the next longest rebuild award, so expect a long thread Keith |

| MIGWeb User | Keith, I think you have finally lost the plot, surely your car doesn't need a back panel and quarters, I feel you are throwing good money after bad, Concentrate on your new engine and ensure all your internals are up to the job, also the engine bay modifications required, But at the end of the day its your car and money, I was in your position a few years ago, and nothing anyone said or did would shift my opinions Good luck with the build

| MIGWeb User | Hey Alex. I probably have lost the plot, but the initial plan was to just sort the bay and fit the engine and running gear. However after taking the skirts off, the tin worm was started on the passanger side and is showing signs on the drivers side too. It does need arch repairs, not just because of the bit of rust, but because i want a full arch lip again, and only trim it towards the rear for clearance. But after seeing loads of Novas at the shows with arch repairs, they are rarely done right and look poor, bar a few exceptions. I'd prefer to fit the 2 GM quaters i have, and run a single lip at the arch so they will never have the chance to rust again. Come up a run some evening and i'll show you i'm not just being picky. But i feel if i dont sort it now, i'll only end up having to do it someother time, which means another build. This time is the final time, i'll probably invest in a bubble too! lol Keith |

woohoo the bubble brigade, I hear what you are saying, but my final build was in 1999 and it has be rebuilt since, but the last one was defo the last hence the lack of use and bubble purchase, because I don't think I could muster up the energy to rebuild again, So I bought the GTE to take my mind of it. Take your time and plan your ordering of parts, so you are not being held up waiting for something "can't do this to this comes" I think that was my saying of the last build and it can get very frustrating, then you start taking it out of the old postman "wheres my parts (shaking your fist)" lol When you get the rears done this time fill the panel and sill with Wax oil, I think I showed you on mine I nearly put a gallon down each side until the seams started weeping, I may not stop it entirely but It will defo slow it down a bit | |
