is it just the pictures or are the mudflaps all different angles? they look squint!

Think the pictures are done with a slight fish eye lense and so gives that impression.

Well folks. Thats the ECU now fitted.

No fault codes etc showing and its running/idleing as normal, woohoo. Will hopefully have it on the rollers next week so i'll let you know the figures when I have them.

keith, i noticed you said you where getting fuel cut before fitting the chips, can you describe how this felt/sounded, i think im getting the same problem. I brought some phase 2 chips from ebay, unfortunatly when i fitted them the car wouldnt start.

The car just suddenly dropped all power, as if you've hit the brakes sharp, but immediatly go's fine again. It's a safety feature that cuts the fuel if the boost rises about "safe" limits. Phase chips removed that.

I was advised against buying copy chips so just got proper ones.

Crap photo of the new SBD altenator, it's still close to the chassis, but doesn't rub at all. (oh the joys of a big block nova!!)



And the engine completely level now:



Car was backfireing like an automatic machine gun under hard boost, most likely due to the **** spark plugs, so i've some NGK RST plugs now, just have to gap them to 0.6mm and get them fitted

The SBD altenator was to arrive on the friday morning but didnt come till the following monday. So I just couldnt drive it to the show.

It'll be at the PNG meet in Portrush on sunday though if your about.
