    Some good advice there Tom. A friend ordered one from regal and two came in the packet, so its one of the few things I received for free, however I might just ebay it now!

    Anyone else any experience with them?

    Keith you dont need a cool running stat, what you need is one of my hi flow remote thermostates, reduces bottlenecking at higher rpm and improves water flow by about 4 times!



    double sealed replaceable stat inside.

    Looks mint, i take it you just remove the thremostat from the standard housing and place yours in the pipework?

    yep.... can get a variety of different temps, and can make them with any size inlet and outlet, so handy if are connecting to a larger rad etc too.

    surly the warrenty is void once u start drilling the caps for the arp;s?

    shame sump coming off as i wanted to see how long the sump gaskets lasted from new!

    very cool engine though would love a brand new one!

    how manys left?

    IIRC you now get washers with some ARP bolts that mean you do not have to counter sink the caps. However i recon once the sump has been removed and bolts inside changed then the warrenty would be void anyway.

    If it throws a leg out of bed then I'll fit standard bolts before handing it back. If something like the head go's porus etc then they wont check the bottom end

    £1480 including VAT on exchange basis.

    Think there's a surcharge of £700 without an exchange engine. But i'm selling my other engine and getting a scrap LET to replace it with.

    by the looks of it you dont get turbo/manifold or any other ancilaries [sp] ??

    thats not as expensive as i thought it would be TBH .. sounds like a good deal really

    Another small update.

    The shell is now ready for paint, below are some pics of all the panels fitted and the panel gaps left perfect. Ade worked all day saturday on the panels to get them 100% (pics taken before this)

    Sorry about pic quality, ade sent them to me via MMS.





    Next weekend should see it in primer.

    Just a small update this Sat, Ade's been welding up and smoothing over all the door locks and boot lock/wiper hole. Boots now ready for primer as are all the panels, it should be done next saturday.

    I'm happy with the early mk1 bootlid, should be different from the usual.
