Just dropped the doors off at the bodyshop. I've got two spare doors I bought in germany, and i've also collected the last two damaged doors.
If anyone wants the two last damaged doors send me a pm. I'm in wakefield until saturday.
Shell looks great, have some nice pics of its progress but can't upload them from my phone. Should get them uploaded on sunday.

Well folks, I've managed to get net access at my uncles in Wakefield. So I thought i'd upload some of the pictures of the shell so far. Its now seam sealed and gravitex'd underneath. Another few weeks and it should be fully painted, underneath, inside, outside and bay (everything tbh). Ade will be sending me more photos as more progress happens.
Also collected the Intercooler, rad and oil cooler setup, and got my new JP exhaust from Dave (valetman).
Until the next update....

LOL... I'm becoming quite fond of the brown in a sad way... my next project might be a stealth brown base model with a 2.0l lump lmao
What's his timescale for finishing the paintwork Keith?
He only gets to work on it on a saturday and the very odd evening. So about another 4 weeks till its painted. So another expensive trip accross the channel to collect it then!

Well folks, Collected the New Vaux Recon C20LET today, came with a load of papers and a 1 year warrenty! It's off to have APR bolts fitted, and i'll fit the cool running thermostat, lightened flywheel and metal tensioners instead of the plastic ones.
Here's some pics.

Why are you fitting the Cool Thermostat?
My experience is that this thermostat only keeps temperatures down when moving properly, and it causes the engine to warm up and the fan to kick in a lot more quickly than a normal thermostat.
I also found that during everyday use the engine did not reach its optimum operating temperature and therefore did not perform as it should have, and only when it had been sat in traffic for a bit and the temp was at normal would it perform as you would expect it too. Then it would cool off a lot quicker.
Overall I would not bother with another one.
Tom
