I have to exchange it against the old one. My LET seems to be quite healthy, so i'd gladly swap it with a few ££ against some poor fellas blown up one.

If I were you Keith - I'd send back an old XE with the Engine numbers stamped over/ground off - the muppets back at parts at GM just see it as 'an engine' and throw it on the scrap pile with the rest of them !!!!

I definately wouldn't send them a decent LET !!!! - In fact I would event take out the pistons, rods, valves, lifters etc

I'm in the process of sourcing a scrap let to swap with someone with some cash to help fund the new engine. Hopefully something will come up!

lol - I've got one of your billet fly's to go on.

Got word back from vauxhall today - bad news that the engine will take up to 2 months to arrived. My friend ordered a new Z20LET and it will arrived next week. I'm not bothered tho as i wont have my shell home for over 2 months and so have a 2-3 month window open for them to get me it.

What would happen if i send back a LET with no crank, pistons, valves etc etc. I'm sure they'd eventually find out and come looking for me! lol

At the end of the day, the reason you buy a new one is because your old ones poo'd itself. So it shouldnt matter hopefully!

Yeah I cant imagine they would do much with a scrapped LET. Probably assume its melted anyway, esp if it wont turn over on 1st inspection.
