I hope to leave a disposable camera with Surface processing, hope they can take some snap shots of the car. Not sure if its possible tho! If they can then boots will put the pics onto CD and i can load them on here.

Just have to line up the rear bumper and drill holes for the side mounts, as once again the mk1 shell doesnt have them. Also just drill some holes for the front wings along the front panel, and drill a hole for the fuel pump wireing. I dont plan on drilling holes when its dipped and painted.

Here's the last pics of the shell before it go's. I've all the parts which are getting painted with me, and the shell really well strapped down to the trailer.

    Parts:

Rear, And numberplate = the toledos reg.

I'll hopefully get some good shots of it once its dipped. And pics of the progress during the paint job.

It is chopped very slightly lol. There's a massive custom intercooler, radiator and oil cooler all being made to fit that gap. Keep an eye on Andy Bishops novas as he's the brains behind the operation.

Having to hand the shell into someone elses hands for that length of time. Said it before, but its going to be an awesome car when its finished, and if you follow the mig build process of getting 3 nuts from completing the car and breaking it, Ill pesonally come and kick your ass :P
Couldn't think of anything good to put in here.

What you got planned for the interior Keith? Stripped? Leathered up? Leopard skin?

Yeah, i asked if i should remove it and they said dont bother. All the underseal, vinyl and sound deadning will be removed with the process! Which saves me alot of hassle

Thanks for the comments, I've had my fair share of novas. This will be the last rebuild and it has to last. Which is why i've went to such lengths. If it wasnt for Rich sourcing the place then i'd never have known I could get this done!

I actually dont even have an interior for it yet. I have a rear seat and MINT carpets, but no seats and no real plan. I think it will most likely be a clean mk2 dash, and a leather/alcantara retrim. I have a contact who will do the labour on the trim very cheap, all i'll have to do is source the material

I did feel a bit un-easy when i left the shell with them. The fella lifted it on the fork lift and it started to rock as if it was going to fall off, i nearly filled my pants!! But i'm sure it'll come back in one piece. Then Ade Culley will have the paintwork like glass!

I'm a man of my word, I told everyone almost a year ago that I was going to get the car dipped and here it is happening. It'll be finished and driven to all the shows next year and hopefully a trip or two to the ring

My Exhaust is now finished - see daves turbo thread to see, as he had two made on his car, one for me! (thanks again dave)

Well, this may come as a supprise but i've decided to not continue with rebuilding my C20LET engine, and have just went and bought a brand new one from Vauxhall. It will arrive on a metal caged palet in about two weeks time.

It wasnt cheap, but in reality works out about £400 more than buying all the parts and having the existing one rebuilt. It will also look new, and have 1 years warrenty!

So looking forward to getting that!

I have to exchange it against the old one. My LET seems to be quite healthy, so i'd gladly swap it with a few ££ against some poor fellas blown up one.

Also have genuine oil/water pumps and full gasket kit which i'll put up for sale when i collect them from my engine builder.
