firstly remove alternator belt, then cambelt cover,then line up engine and remove bottom pulley, slacken cambelt tensioner and remove belt,remove camshaft pulley and cambelt rear cover, rmove thermostat housing and replace thermostat
easy really, and if you wnat you can get away with leaving the bottom pulley on and just holding the rear cover out the way while you do it, tools needed, 13mm spanner, 10mm spanner, 6mm allen key
Just looking around and saw this its just as you we told.
as long as you align the top and bottom pulleys up and mark TDC you should have no problems in renewing your thermostat. i've eeven managed to replace it with the cambelt in situe. dont go to vauxhall when you can do this yourself.
