Here's my deepened piston:

That's 3cc more vol than a std 16v piston, enough to make it match an 8v 20SEH piston, so compression ratio will be maintained.

Next dilema:
16v block oil feed:

8v block feed:

Does that plug pull out? Or can I drill it to match the 8v?

Finally, my flywheel:

Compare with std 8v and SBD 8v ones:

No questions about the flywheel. I've had a 16v flywheel lightened for the new bottom end. The 8v bottom end in the car has an 8v flywheel.

Mattheus - I'm replacing my 8v bottom end with a 16v bottom end. Lightened, balanced, new bearings, oild pump, water pump, 16v pistons 86.5mm machined to make compression ratio 10.5:1 with 8v head.

The pistons cost £40 each as std and £15 extra each for machining. Got them done at my local engine place, Maynards.
