Am thinking of maybe purchasing a new Astra Gsi. Apparently it has 200bhp in stock form so should have alot of scope for extra power. The £16,495 price tag isn't to bad either really. 0-60mph in 7secs, 150mph. All this with 200bhp. Surely 300bhp would be quite easily achievable?
Has anyone driven a Vauxhall with this new Ecotec Turbo engine? How is it for modifying etc..
There are tuning mods available from a fast becoming massive company based in germany called EDS their official UK distributor is Regal Auto sport but you might get a better deal going through the company Wallace Performance they have 2 options available
Phase 1 costing about £500 ish takes you up to 240 ish BHP quite reliably and Phase 2 taking you up to 280 Bhp for about £1000 again whilst keeping it reliable
Be warned though once modified its more important than ever to follw the instructions in the astra manual that say let the engine warm up a bit before heavy use and let it cool down a bit (iddling for 30 secs to a min) before turning it off if you have just been putting your foot down

He could do if he wanted I personally dont trust em as far as im concerned anything that defeats the immobiliser at will can only serve as a weak point in the security
No Opel's ever gonna get stolen over here, for sure.
