Hello! Mr. Sticklands thread had me thinking.......
I believe its the vavle stems that are dodgy when ur car smokes on start-up yes???
Cos thats what mine does.... now I believe this is a reasonably time consuming / expensive (depending on whether I do it or not) job and so having no cash/time I'm ignoring it....
The question.....
I take it I'm not doing any further damage to my engine by leaving it am I???
Just want to know if I'm slowly killing it is all!
it should also smoke after gear change under load??? its not massively detrimental but ,its false economy to ignore as youll spend loads on oil and it may not get through an mot.
TBH it doesnt use a hideous amount of oil.... I think more drips outta the sump than gets burnt.....
May burn under changes.... dont know as I'm usually looking at where going if I'm in that much of a hurry!
But thanks for the advice.....
Will get round to it one day when it annoys me too much....
Mind you I've noticed its become much more intermittent these days.... seems to do it less.... but when it does! lmao
Then again... I dont drive it as much anymore.
Thanks for the advice guys!
