Corsa b epas column too short??

Hi all, my car (corsa b sri) is undergoing a epas fit. Epas is from corsa b but the colum is too short. Any advice? Thanks.

In what area is it too short? I've just retro fitted mine and all fitted fine, have you used the universal joint off the EPAS?

The linkage from the column to the rack extends iirc

Cheers guys. Its a friends garage doing it. And when i seen the job on half the steering wheel didnt seem to clear the dash. Should it bolt straight on? As he said he was havibg to make a bracket? Cheers

Did you get the EPAS cowl for the ignition barrel as the plastic surround is a different size

Didnt get that bit, ill find out more on monday. Think he said i need a corsa c colum? Do they fit?

is there two different colums on a b? he said it was 4 inches too short. and he had fitted one on his no problem but the motor was shorter on his column. any ideas?

There is only one as far as I can remember. Is the Eps Ecu mounted on the column or is it separate? The corsa b should have a separately mounted Ecu but the corsa c Ecu is mounted on the column itself.
Have you replaced the column mounting bracket, the one that bolts onto the bulkhead which you then bolt the column too. The non Eps bracket is different to the Eps one.

It is mounted seperatly and is deffo off a b. ahhhh dont think the bracket to bulkhead was changed, will i need to remove dash to do this? And is it a bolt on part

Yes it's a bolt on part, not sure if you have to remove the dash to do it though. Two of the bolts are under the Windscreen wiper scuttle and the others in the black plate bolted onto the bulkhead where the column goes through.
My dash was out when I did it so not 100% if it can be done with the dash in.
