Calibra/Saab wiring help please....

Hi All,

So i have a Cali Turbo, with a Saab B204L engine fitted.
The wiring was a bit of a mess, so sent the bay/ecu wiring loom to Nige who does conversion parts, he has done a great job of the loom, and i have a list of wires which i need to find in the car (Calibra) loom and splice into the Saab engine/ECU loom.

Permanent supply
Ignition supply
Fuel pump
Speed signal input
Engine light
Brake pedal switch
RPM signal

If anyone can shine some light as to which wires these are within the car, (as close to the drivers footwell as poss).
I am going out to work on the car tonight, and think i have a couple of them sussed but was hoping some clever people might be able to make my life a little easier

ignition supply i used my fuse box and permanet supply aswell . rpm green wire back of dash along with engine light fuel pump obviously under the car and run a wire from the positive fuel wire to you block connector

I know where the wires are located but I'm struggling identifying which ones they are!
Does the fuel pump wire not run along the inside as the fuel pump is on top of the tank (iirc)?

they are located on the back of the clock mate green is rev counter eml light is brown and yellow from memory havent seen a calibra fuel pump but if its on the tank then wire it into the live feed??

Ok been on the phone with Nige this evening (top bloke)!

He was working from memory, and I explained I have a clump of around 10 wires coming down into the foot well from behind the fuse box.

Brown and black is EML
Blue and red is speed signal
Blue is coolant temp
Large blue and red is fuel pump

Looking to take the permanent live from the central locking unit, and just the ignition supply to suss out now!
I would still be out there but it's too dark :-(

I assume that's a lamp you put on the end of the wire?

I was going to earth a wire onto a bulb, and then try what I think to be the constant live, and check the bulb lights up.
Same again with finding the ignition supply.

I am going to put a live from the battery (with a fuse in line) as advised by Nige, onto what we think is the fuel pump supply and see if the fuel pump does anything.

Hopefully this will all work and I can tidy the wiring up and get the interior back in!

Well just a lamp you plug in so you got some light outside, even a halogen one that way on these nice evenings you can work to your hearts content...

You can get a basic multimeter from maplins for like a tenner and probably worthwhile if not necessary with the kind of project you've got going on. An easy place for a constant and ignition live is from the stereo loom.

Sorry mate, of course!
My mind was still in the car wiring, I thought you meant a little light which you put a wire onto and if it lights up you know it's live lol!

I do need to get a multimeter, I tend to stay away from wires so never needed one until now :-(!
Will let you know how I get in today with the damn thing! :-)

Well been out on the calibra this morning!

Got a permanent live, ignition supply which doesn't drop out when cranking, and fuel pump.
Ignition turned on, fuel pump running, waited until it finished and then cranked it.

It's turning over, but not firing :-(

Thinking maybe the ignition supply is dropping out whilst cranking?

Can someone please advise where I can pick up a ignition supply which doesn't drop out under cranking?

eml is brown with a blue tracer not brown with a black tracer that is an air con wire irrc
