the 3/8" rachet was man enuff to undo my headbolts well 9 of them had to go get a bar for 1!

"Halfords launched a new range of screwdrivers earlier in the year, and now its giving you the opportunity to get them even cheaper in box sets. Starting at £15 for a five piece electrical set, up to a bargin £30 for a 30 piece set, each one has a metal stem running right up into the handle for strength, and magnetic tips so you don't need three pairs of hands for those tricky jobs".
I know what Im getting for Christmas, along with my Car Booster/Charger/Car starter/portable 12 Volt pack.
I have the same as SRICREW but I have managed to keep mine together in the box. lol. They are good and strong. I only go else where if it is more specialised tooling required.
yeah, i have got one of the small kits 3/8" and it seems pretty good. i am yet to break it although the converter that came with my clarke torque wrench broke on first use
Were doing buy three get the cheapest free on all tools in the pro range (sets or individual items) last time I was in there aswell. only ever bloke a 3/8 extension bar un-doing head bolts.
I have broken a few bits and bobs doing silly things with them. They have always replaced them without questioning me as to what I was doing. Never even been so much as asked for a receipt.
I have snapped 2 of those 3/8 extensions. short and long so I now replace them with expensive teng ones. I have also bought better reducers as they were on offer in a professional tool shop and I have snapped the 1/2 to 3/8 reducer. I can't grumble for the abuse they get.
do halfords do the reducers? i cant be bothered to send my 1/2 - 3/8 converter back to machine mart! i would have been really useful as well, as i only have a 1/2" torque wrench, and inpact wrench, and most of my smaller sockets, torx sockets, and allen key type sockts are 3/8"
i broke my reducer the first time that i used it, when i was undoing the brakes on the front of an astra.
He was one of the managers. Never thought about the thing with the radios though.lol. I tend to be a bit quiet and get fed up of hassling people. He alos sacked a mate of mine as well so always been a bit of an arsehole. Excuse my french.
well if you lot are quick the 150 piece tool set is down in price today, in my store at least (rutherglen) now only £120 instead of £150. think other stores are the same. and it's the pro one!!
Yeah old one was definately knackered and i got another one today. Im gonna fit it tomorrow.
