    Filler neck

Hi, looking for a bit of advise, Building a astra 4x4 got project thread on it. Im putting a calibra fuel tank in same place as it is on a calibra but having the filler cap in the window, now the smaller breather pipe coming out beside the main filler pipe, wots best to do with it, was goin to run 1 inch pipe near to the top of the filller neck close to the cap, but 1 inch pipes doesnt have much give so looks stupid, Cant decide what to do, i know the tank will need to breath when filling so thats what the inch pipe was for.

    Cheers

Had a similar problem to this during my Corsa B rally car build. What are you planning to do with the car? Any competitions? Anyway, the reason I ask is I see you have have connections on the pipe inside the car, in some peoples eyes (possibly MOT tester? In my case a scrutineer) they do not like it as it poses a fire risk. I put mine back where it was originally but made it from stainless steel pipe with a 10mm breather close to the top of the filler neck.
