Broken Mk3 Astra Top Mount

What the hell went on there....looks like the top mount or strut top has come through...is this on the vec or astra...can't tell from the pic.

its an astra mk3

the top mount must have been split / cracked for a while for that to happen, new ones will transform the handling of your mk3 no end mate

Amazingly after driving 50 miles on crap roads the bonnet is fine, I wouldn't have been too happy if it had cos its a mint phase 1 GSi bonnet and yes it's the mk3 Astra which is going to the RR day. The rubber from the top mount N/S got shoved out after a rather large speed bump with a hole along the whole length of it on the other side that you can't see on a unlit road at night, if it was the vectra it would have been grounded or worse

Ordered 2 new mounts but won't be here till the 31st or 1st so it's off the road till then

Changed the knackered mount but going to change the other after comparing them

They look like motor factor mounts as they're cracking already???

Well worth buying from Autovaux or getting second hand ones from a scrap Astra - they will last longer than those terrible motor factor ones! They'll be MOT fail within a year, esp if you have lowering?

The mount just looks like the paint or the top layer is cracked. usual tho nothing to worry about
