Corsa XE Electric Speeedo

i put up a wanted on corsasport for a f20 gearbox sender, the dickhead that replied told me he had one and so i promptly paid him a tenner for the sender, when it came it was clearly one from a corsa and not the f20 box. after messaging him saying it was the wrong one he has told me it was for a 1.6 sport which iirc the gearing isnt that far out. can put it in the f20 box and get it worked with the corsa electric speedo or is this doomed to fail?

If so, it'll be right. If it's the hall effect one that replaces the speedo drive then it's a no go.

no its one of these, been doing a bit of searching and it seem this might work with the digidash? Ive now got the late sport clocks and a late sport gearbox speed sender. im hoping these will work with the f20 box, also got to wire it up if any one has any suggestions.

Won't work in an F20 box. You'll need a transducer that screws on to the mechanical drive - the one in the image I posted is the correct one with the part number 90532632. The one you have relies on a reluctor ring on the diff that won't be present on the F20 box.

Or you could stick mechanical clocks in it and a speedo cable.

trying to find one of those is like rocking horse ****, i phoned autovaux and they wanted £56 delivered. urgh i will continue the search

One on ebay now - corsa nova 2.0 redtop gte electric speedo transducer same as astra gte digi dash | eBay. Obviously you'll need to check part number with him first.

Or check round a few scrappers? If you can find one I can't see them charging you more than a tenner.
