Need help on measuring up for rotors and bells

Hey need a little help on measuring up for some rotors and bells on my corsa, iv been in touch with a company and they have sent me a diagram on how to measure up for them but I’m still none of the wiser... i want the disc to have a offset on them so i can move my brembos back more (into the arch) so i can get rid of my 20mm spacers! Anyone ever had to measure up for some??

Are you going to the meet tomorrow? If so bring the diagrams and I'll sort it

They are probably wanting to know the distance between the disc centreline and the hub front face.

not sure what you are asking tbh, the form is very straight forward, for them to act as spacers as well as disc bells, which i think is what you mean, you will need to have them made of thicker material, not change the discs' offset to the wheel/bell, so what you are after is not on that form

that diagram is juts for the disc too, so really no help, you need the one for the bell so it includes the overall disc/bell ‘height’ to make the changes i think you want

Re: Need help on measuring up for rotors and bells

No mate the reason I want to get these made up is to get rid of my 20mm wheel spacers. So what I'm after is some bells that have a big angle on them so that when the discs are bolted to them they sit back in the arch more, then I will have to have more brackets made up for my calipers to move them back aswell then I will be able to use smaller or no wheels spacers. Iv had a look at the hub on my corsa and I think the disc can go back a good 30mm before it hits the bottom ball join. This is something like what I'm going on about http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/pdf/des...pot_brakes.pdf

Infact iv just been reading that website and it says something about making dummy bells out of mdf so I'll have a go at doing that

yeah, and as i said in my second reply, the diagrams you have are just for the disc, they’ll probably just ask you for a bell offset figure, or sometimes companies want the ‘top hat height’ i.e measure from the back of the disc face to the front of the bell face
