Ok don't get this both struts are the same, discs are the same and Calipers and wheels etc, so why would the Caliper be scoring N/S only on the outer face right at the top of the disc and nowhere else and is worse when you steer ?

Is one of the pads breaking up slightly?
ps - I can do you a complete Calibra 2.0 front brake setup cheap if you just want to swap it all over!
Hello mate, pads are brand new EBC red stuff on cavalier turbo Calipers with brand new discs (were) and cav GSi struts, the O/S is perfect but the N/S top rubs at the top of the Caliper on the top of the disc yet nothing has been done any different

Oh I get you.
I'd strip off the caliper then and make sure it's sat squarely on the carrier, and the carrier is square to the hub.
Do the calipers match each other? Did they work ok on original discs?

I got the struts and Calipers from 2 different people but they are identical plus I chucked the old discs away as they were knackered so never compared them TBH, but whatever is doing it is now causing severe wheel bearing failure or is rubbing badly as it squeals when you go round a left hand bend, as you look at the top of the Caliper it looks too close to the disc which is strange as the Calipers and discs are the same

Problem solved, wheel bearing castle nut split pin had broken and somehow fallen out and the nut had decided to undo itself about 8 turns, hence brake disc moving and severe noise and vibration from the CV and the bearing, re-tightened it and it is now quiet with a nice new pin but i guess the bearing has had considerable wear to it so thats now both sides that will need to be done, doesn't rain it pours![]()

At least it didn't collapse or fall apart when you were goin up the road!
