they are cool, but they need not only fabrication, but also a decent air supply, so either you’re gonna carry round a large gas bottle, or fit an on boards compressor and tank, really quite a lot easier to just use a jack imo

well i found a kit for 3 grand on an american website, so 2500 in real money, the air supply wouldn't be an issue as i have a compressor in my house, and saftey wise u could use the jacks to pump the car up, then put stand underneath or whatever.

im reshelling my car from scratch eventually so puttin them in wouldn't be too hard, build them into the standard shell before building up the car. mayb if they were cheaper lol, ive only found 1 kit so far thou!

Theres a shop on ebay that sells them. not sure of the quality though.

AP racing sell them but they aint cheap. Also home compressors genrally dont have enough oooph. Teams use bottled nitrogen to drive them.

Your adding unnecessary weight to the car and it aint cheap. Not worth it imo.

yeah and what happens when you’re not at home? i have had thoughts of an over centre quick jack like an f1 car for the back of mine though as it is certainly light enough now

you use a normal jack lol, i was just looking on ap's website have sent them an email as they only seem to list the bottle parts and no prices,

to be honest weight isn't really an issue, my car isn't a stripped out racer, its a standard-looking gsi with full interior, probably the same weight as anyone on here with some 15inch subs in their boot!

seriously, look into how to pressurise them first, it will be a total pain for little use imo, but go for it, i’m sure AP will relieve you of your money no problems

    Re: car pneumatic jacks

I'd be looking into whether they'd actually be of any use, first off I'm not convinced they'd go high enough to be of any use for anything other than changing wheels, secondly I'd be worried about them being safe enough to actually do any work, though I'm not 100% on how they work.

They'd be cool I guess but that's about it IMO!

    Re: car pneumatic jacks

you can get extensions to raise the car higher, and also whats called ‘elephants feet’ that slip round the jack ram and act as stands like these
racecarsdirect.com (Race Cars For Sale) » elephant feet for air jacks

still no point though unless you’re going racing imo
