corsa c speedo how does it work with engine conversion?

just wondered where the corsa c gets its speedo feed from and how do people go about getting the speedo to work with engine conversions? my old mk4 astra was easy as just kept the old ecu to run the abs system and the speedo remained working. as far as i know most corsas dont have abs so how do you get the speedo working?? cheers

I guess it's either got a wheel sensor on one of the fronts or there's a sender that screws in to the 'box.

yeah thats what i was thinking..do u reckon even a non abs car might use a single wheel speed sensor? im just thinking if the lesser models use speedo cable then the f23 box doesnt have a cable outlet and the speedo isnt gonna work!

My MK4 Astra is non-ABS but uses an ABS hub and amplifier for the VSS.

what about the lesser models without ABS? do they have one sensor purely for the speedo? cheers

Abs ring is the way 99% of the zle* converted c's go


Although mines usin mk4 gsi hubs, so i made a loom out of 2 old corsa c abs sensors and astra abs plugs, so clips into hub and into standard corsa abs wiring!

my 1.2 corsa C runs speedo from a hub ring. still works with a V6 shoved in the front! :-)
