Astra mk3 brakes going to the floor

Have noticed when engine is off pedal is stiff but when running the pedal travels to the floor, have bled the brakes twice and there are no leaks is it the master cylinder ?

Could very well be, some here on the forums have reported this having been the cause in their case. A scratched piston or wall can cause air to be sucked in, so it's definitely worth checking.

Other possible causes I have encountered are spring clips being incorrectly placed pusing the calipers apart instead of pulling them together and calipers swapped left/right which places the bleed nipples UNDER the hose connections. The latter will make them impossible to bleed...

If this is not after placing them new on the car the MC is the main suspect...

Calipers, pads brake lines are new and no leaks can be seen on any Caliper front or back or brake line and fluid level doesn't drop so it must be the piston or seals on the MC, cheers mate needed to clarify that before I bought a brand new one

There are kits to refurbish the MC mate... might be worth a try first...

Still with newly fitted brakes I always doubt the MC is the problem, so many options as to why it's not bleeding properly.... You certain about the L/R placement of calipers and the springs? Might save some money putting up a pic or two, some eagle eyed people around on forums....
