    car immobilized

Boyfriend was replacing front fog light bulbs. Once fitted got in and tried to start the car and all the lights and electrics started flashing and the car wouldn't start. Then after 10 minutes the car alarm and after market alarm went of together put keys in ignition which stopped the alarms but now no electrics are showing at all. Cant take keys out of ignition as after market alarm goes off. Car will not start at all!!

    Its a mk 4 Astra 1.8 3 door

Can any one that may know how to fix the problem help??

Have you tried removing the bulbs again?
    They're there, in their room.

it sounds like either the battery has flattened itself (hence both alarms going off) possibly due to a short
try undoing what he did and test battery for charge/ recharge and try again
If at first you dont succeed... CHEAT!

probably sound silly but when you open the door does the interior light come on brightly
i only ask as some chargers will show fully charged when the battery has died compleatly as there is no voltage on it

Sounds like he's blown one of the main fuses.

Check all the fuses in the engine compartment if it had them first then the ones in the fuse box near the drivers door.
