Cruise control help

Some help needed please,
Ive got 2002 astra 1.8 sxi and it's got the cruise control button's,
on the stalk but they dont seem to do anything.?????

drive along at 25mph+ and press the 1 or I button

Yeah that's what ive been doing and it dont do anything,
Should there be a light on the dash??

theres a big chance someone has just fitted a cruise switch. or it just could be busted.
have a kite under the bonnet and see if there is a second cable next to the throttle cable going to a small control box about 3x3x4 inches in size. not sure where they are bolted on a mk4. astra dan is yur man. he has fitted it to his mk4 2.0

Iv got the same problem with my 07 plate Astra it did work but it doesn't now? Don't use it tbh tho

I recall Astra Dan mentioning he never got it to work properly...

Also the 2002 car might not be a mechanical CC, but perhaps an electrical?

The 1.8 Mk4 Astra is fly by wire I think. Need to get it enabled in the ECU. Can you see if you have a clutch switch and a 4 pin brake light switch?

I never got the cruise to work very well in the GTE, works a treat in the Mk4, but it's an older 2.0 with a throttle cable.

Have you tried replacing the engine relay?? Have you tried checking your fault codes?? Here is the web page to help you.
