    spa gauge help

got a spa dual gauge , boost/oil pressure , got the pressure sensor into a t piece coming out of the back of the block but the pressure is not changing its just staying on -69 psi, i took the sensor out and put a manual sensor in it and its getting good oil pressure , put the spa sensor back in no change on the gauge , i phoned spa up today and he said to check the voltage on it it should be 1 volt and it is , he said to send it back to them and they will have a look at it but i wounded if anyone had any ideas as i dont fancy having to pull it all out of the car and wait 3 weeks for them to find the fault, the gauge was brand new from them aswell and only 2 months old , also when the gauge said -69 psi i then zeroed the sensor and started the car and it went straight to -69 again but then it will not change from that number even when driven , when started i unscrewed the sensor abit and oil starts to come out past the threads so there is oil there , been thying to work it out all day

    any suggestions ?

does the boost side of the gauge work fine just wondering if you havent got the two pressure sensors mixed up the wrong way round

    Re: spa gauge help

just try checking the multiplug on the back of the gauge as i had one of them pins pop out on me
are the two sensors identical? you could try swapping them over if they are to identify whether its the gauge or sensor
otherwise im afraid its a return to SPA im afraid

    Re: spa gauge help

checked the wiring and its all ok as i put power through each wire and checked the voltage at the other end , also swaped thge sensors over and boost one is still reading , so means sensor ok, wiring ok , just had a look on google and someone mentioned they had a bit of a drip of cooland drop onto the connector and stayed on the same number with no change so hopefully it might be that ,? any other suggestions welcome??
