When advanced technology fails you need advanced personell using advanced tools and equipment to find advanced solutions... Somehow in either of these matters it keeps going wrong??!?

when you have been trying to get your car to work every night after work in the rain and dark then spend your weekend doing the same in the snow it gets a bit long in the tooth so to speak, and the fact the car is 70 miles from home and have limited tools its frustrating to say the least chap, looking to have it toed home so i can get a good go at it and not catch hypothermia doing so

just away to have a look at the vidoe of the relay chap

Ouch!! Yes, that's not at all convenient....

Mostly erath wires are judged by measuring resistance, or just be looking at them. Try measuring voltage over them* under load. When more than just about zero the connection is bad for certain....

    * One probe on the battery negative and one on the chassis...

    cheers vinci

i put another lead on the negative, negative terminal to gear box and a smaller lead from neg terminal to slam panel with exsisting smaller earths,

when i turn ignition on the dash lights up after going through its sequence the dash goes blank but the back light stays on

if i try to start the car while dash is going through its sequence the engine doesnt respond and the dash blacks out and when i release the key it lights back up

also the starter has stopped clicking & the alarm randomly beeps and the locks some time dont respond either

not sure what to make of it?

Sounds like the battery is quite flat now, have you measured the voltage on it?
