Will the C20LET start without the mini loom

Will it start without the mini loom for icv and knock sensor plugged in, there is a red wire with a blue stripe which looks the same as the FPR wire, will this stop it starting or activating the fuel pump and can i just run a temporary feed to that wire to power up the pump as i can hear the relay when the IGN is on but does not fire?

Waiting for it to arrive, will it start if I coonect that wire to 12v + ?

its the same colour, but no its not the fuel pump wire. So don't connect any additional wires.

Try it and find out, I'd of thought the ecu will **** itself and throw a load of fault codes up and it won't want to idle due to lack of icv so you will have to open throttle slightly to allow it to run, wouldn't of thought lack of knock would do anything at idle.

Why do you want to run it without? Surely you can wait until the mini loom turns up, even if it does run I wouldn't try driving it

just need to check all ok before i can finish the final bits then just fit the loom and done really

its will start and run, will just bring engine light on and go into limp mode and idle at 1500rpm due to idle valve not being connected, wont cause no damage.

ok, thanks for that but i am getting no spark or fuel pump running, any ideas why not, have connected all the standard wires but obviously there are some left over

in the footwell loom that is near the ECU, nothing wants to work, no fuel pump nothing, no power at the coil, why the hell is there no power there, am i missing something ?apart from the mini loom ?

check these

1) A thick wire from the ecu loom to battery +
2) black wire to ignition above the gearbox
3) earths on the fuel rail

does the engine management light come on when you turn the key? if not you haven't connected the thin black wire which is the switched live iirc which in turn primes the fuel pump

EML light on all wires you said connected but no spark no nothing just turns over like there is nothing connected !!

have noticed the loom has melted where the coil and switch live connections are but i still have an EML light on but no spark no nothing, anyone selling a loom ?

Need to get this up and running as just lost the galaxy due to a dual mass flywheel piece of ***** so need to get this done, money waiting for who can get it running
