right what im wanting to know is, when it talks about grounding the wires, would it be ok to run these wires from the LC-1 to the same ground that im using for my boost and oil pressure gauge??

Can't see why not TBH. It does recommend using a separate ground point from ignition systems, ECU's etc, but I can't see you having an issue.

i will give it a try anyway, its just in instruction it says put loom into the cabin, but if i have to attach earth to engine block, then means extending the wiring just to make those few go back into the engine bay, only other alternative would be to , get single bit of cable, ground that then route that into the cabin along with rest of the loom them solder them together

I'd be interested in this as well, it does say you should solder the LC-1 and gauge grounds to the same point and earth that, so it should be possible to bolt a ring tag to the chassis, it is looking for zero difference in the 0V potential.

i may just solder all the grounds to a single wire then run the single wire to the block maybe

any of you lot recommend a switch and LED in one, that would work well for the calibration switch at all??

right one last question, have it all wired in etc now, seems to power up fine, get a error code which is linked to the fact i dont have the sensor plugged in at the mo, will it affect anything/still be ok to use the car without the sensor being plugged in?? still waiting to get car booked in to get new sensor location fitted to exhaust

Re: Anyone have experience with wiring in an innovate lc-1 wideband controller??

right ive finally got round to fully fitting my sensor etc into the exhaust, done its calibration etc, turned the ignition off and unplugged sensor again so i could fit it into the exhaust, when i turn the ignition on again when its plugged back in etc, is it normal for the LED and gauge to flash for a few seconds?? then it shows something like 21.8 on gauge untill i start the engine then it starts fluctuating as im guessing it should do? havent actually driven the car yet with it in but have revved it up abit

Sounds perfectly normal. The flashing LED on start-up is the sensor heating up, once it is lit continuous then it is reading.

Your lucky yours works, had nothing but bother with mine on the rally car.

No, start away. In fact it is better for the sensor to be still warming when you start the engine cold as it is also supposed to be bad for a hot wideband sensor to get hit with cold exhaust gases.

Check out the Innovate user forum as it has lots of good info, tips, etc.
