C20Let Corsa No EML

Gearbox earth strap is bolted to a pin on the chasis

Earths from battery/starter are bolted to the earthing point on the bulkhead

Earths on the loom to fuel rail are connected


Anyothers i should be checking?
Any fuses etc. i should be checking?

You need an earth from 1 point on the battery either going to gearbox or cylinder head

Ok, i'll have a look and wire one in if needs be.



Also:

I have 4 wires on the LET in the footwell which aren't connected to anything

these are

Red/White stripe
Black/brown
Black/blue
Black/green


And also on the corsa plug in footwell (using twags conversion loom)
I had a thick red wire not connected, assuming this is because the LET loom uses its own perminant live.

Yes you dont need that as let loom has its own live feed

Righto, thanks for your reply, i've spent all day checking the wiring and going over things suggested in this thread.

Still the same problem.

Engine turns over but doesn't fire.
I have no EML on turn of the ignition
I have no fuel or spark when the engine is turning over
I'm usung a PJ type ecu
I've replaced the fuel relay


I know 100% that the EML light works because if i ground the Black/Blue wire(EML) the bulb illuminates.

Just a thought, but double check your under bonnet plugs, managed to mix 2 up on my car (albeit a different engine) think it was the throttle valve one and the crank sensor, same plugs whatever and they reached the wrong components

Yeah thats worth a shot, i'll have a look at the connections on the loom. I've ordered another Fuel relay and CPS aswell

Hello ... I am from romania and I have a vectra c20let. My problem is: for some days I have no signal to the ECU. Not even flash ,,check" in the dashboard and the engine will not start (it has fuel). Can you give me some solutions for this problem? Sorry for mistakes. Thank you.

Could be immobiliser issues still? I had a corsa with a C16 conversion from 1 litre an i was usin the wrong key with the wrong chip in it for 2 weeks before i realised, checked n changed just about every sensor before realising too, check an clean all earths an re check all plugs make good connections, little tiny file or a strip of 80 grit paper to clean all terminals, and i think iirc that my corsa and now my tigra have an earth from the battery to the body, then 3 or 4 to the inlet, another one to the bulkhead fom th inlet an a gearbox to body one too

maybe fuel pump relay by the ecu?
try hitting it.

i thought the management light flashed when the immobiliser is stopping it starting? does sound like power is missing to the ecu
