    vec gsi electrical help needed

basically the car shuts itself down and the tc light comes on until you stop dead then the dash lights up as if its stalled. there is a fusebox behind the battery with an array of 60a fuses and one 20a fuse in, the 20a keeps blowing!

ive had the fuel pump relay, ignition relay and the ecu relay taken off it and put on their own

what does this fuse actually control apart from them?

already been there, they were the ones that took the relays off it. i took it for a spin on saturday and had no problems at all, but then again i didnt boot it like i would getting upto motorway speed.

it would be a massive help if i knew what the bloody fuse did as i cant find any info anywhere!

    nope, not in the manuals

ive done a bit more net digging and found its the engine management fuse.i've also had a theory as to what it is. it only goes when ive been going onto 3.5k rpm, right when the butterflys change position, ive got a nackered vac solenoid where the plug connector has literally fallen out. could that be shorting out when it gets the signal to open the butterfly and causing all this havoc?
