    corsa c

    hi guys my corsa c 1.2 has started playing up, it starts runs and drives but it wont rev over 2000rpm and only goes up to 30mph any one hav a clue what that could be cheers

    any lights on the dash?? spanner light?? have had throttle body faults and ecu's go down......

    sounds like limp mode, probably the AFM if it's the 1.2 16v

    theres a spanner on the dash yh, battrys fully charged and its a 1.2 16v. yh it is in limp mode be told copuld be crank sensor any ideas

    yeah crank sensors go a lot but the AFM goes a hell of a lot more than those.

    but would that cause it to go into limp mode, u know if i put them on do i avto do something to get it out of limp moe or will it go back to normall when ive sussed the fault mate

    it will still be in limp mode but will reset itself after a few seconds and return to normal if those are the problems.

    yeah really easy, it's at the back of the engine under the inlet, get on your back under the car and you'll see it right away.

    ive changed both the crank sensor and cam sensor to no affect, ill try the afm tmoz is there any think else, would puttin it on a diagnositics be the best idea

    Madness just chucking parts at the car like your doing

    Get the fault codes read and see what the problem is!

    tried this test just but no flashing on the spanner does that mean thers no fault codes

    same problem when run on gas? or just petrol? unplug your afm how does car behave then?

    havent tried switching it to gas its jsut constant running of the car from when you start it, and it wont start with the afm disconnected, just changed the afm and no difference in the running still in limp mode

    Wants plugging seeing what the ECU says

    No point chucking bits as it as you still appear to be doing

    Last car I looked at like this had a blocked exhaust

    took it to electrical place said the ecu was nakerd, its a gonna now lol stik to the corsa b and nova new cars nothing but sensorss cheers for the help
