    Question Brakes clicking

    i just bought a vectra sri on a 2000 plate when i press the brakes a clicking noise comes from under the car

    can anyone help me out please thanks Luke

    I'd jack the front end up and make sure there is no free play in any of the suspension joints and bushes. It does sound like the pads moving in the carrier though, you might want to take the pads out and clean them up and put copper grease on the contact points.

    check the back mate ,, on the rear calipers there shuld be 2 large securing pins going through the rear brake pads . now some rear pads come with little metal plates that stop these pins jingling around, some dont . its not a serious noise and not dangerous so dont worry but grab a pin with 2 fingers. if it wobbles theres your noise

    its more of a clank as if the pads are tapping against the caliper

    could be anything from the topmount to the balljoint, make sure the caliper is bolted on safely first, you really don't want that coming off.
