C20LET Loom, Turbo & Coil Conundrums MK2 GTE

Doing a conversion from an 8v Astra GTE to C20LET at the moment, but have run into a few major issues, that we don't seem to have any joy in finding information anywhere on the web.

I'm hoping some of the MIG guru's might be able to help here, as this forums mentioned quite a few times on the max-boost.co.uk website.

Basically we have a week to get the last few problems ironed out to get the engine going, and to be honest I'm crapping myself that we're running out of time so fast.

    The main issues are :-

    1) Where the loom comes into the dash, all we have is the plug for the Motronic 2.7, a relay box and 2 wires with no connectors.

I'm really keen to know what those 2 wires are for?

    2) How can you read the diagnostic codes with no ALDL plug?
The loom does not seem to carry any provision for a diagnostic plug, unless I'm missing something? I'm quite happy to build something if I can be pointed in the direction of a schematic / instructions. (Reading the fault codes is going to be pretty important as its a fresh engine build and we've nicked sensors from all over the place)

    3) Improvising a Coil / Ignition module
When we've come to hook up the ignition coil (hall effect dissy) We've realised that we still have the 8v GTE coil & ignition module (7 pin) and we also have a coil from a 93 Calibra with 2 pins (C20NE engine) ... The loom has a 4 pin connector, and I'm praying that someone knows how we might get around this ... believe it or not, I can get the coil and the ignition module here in Aussie, but the bloody things are nearly 700 quid I'm doing the job with my cousin atm, and he flies back in a week. We're pretty desperate now as I don't have time to get one from the UK.

    4) Stiff Old Turbo Turbines
We've had a look inside the turbo to check that its spinning freely & no damage to the fins etc. In looks really great shape, turbine fins are in great shape and nice & shiny with no leaks, but the turbine doesn't spin very freely (IE cant do it with fingers). We're thinking that it might free up once it gets hot - but any hints / experiences welcomed

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

bump - especially point 2, as i've gone over the loom again and theres definately no ALDL plug or spare wiring .... did some of the looms come without the diagnostic plug?

Solved. Its just a transistor thats triggered by the reference wire from the ECU to complete the circuit to the coil, easy to fabricate if anyones interested. Only 3 of the pins in the ingnition module are used.
