rev counter help

can any 1 help me have just got a corsa with c20xe redtop in and the rev counter has a mind of its own, but when u give it some works ok ish, any1 no the problem n how to fix? cheers

If it's an early dizzy type it's the coil that needs changing

yeah its a dizzy type do i just get new coil or ignition amp aswel? is it worth checkin connections only got car yesterday not had chance to check it yet? cheers

Yea check the connections jus buy a complete second hand one, I've got one if you wanna buy it £30 posted

have had clocks out today as speedo not workin either fittin new cable n notice that the plug has been butched n had sorted out conections n all seems fime now will c how it goes cheers
