    dash warning light for brakes wont turn off

    G'day guys i have a 92 calibra and the warning lights for the brakes wont turn off ive replaced the brake pads and i have no idea why it is still on any help appreciated

    Have you checked the wiring to the pads ?

    Is it the brake pad wear light or the brake fluid level light?

    As I assume you're using pads that don't have the warning sensors and have just unplugged the old pads, the warning light WILL stay on.
    I also had assumed they used a ground through the pad to the disc to complete the circuit and activate the light - however, normal condition for this car is a closed circuit (I assume pad wear will result in the circuit breaking) and disconnecting the wires is the wrong thing to do - what you need to do is use a link to join the two wires toegether - 'shorting' them - this will put the warning light out.
