snapped my only key last night for the corsa had the two halvs and took them to get cut for a new one but it doesn't work it unlocks the car but the barrle wont turn is it a case of new barrle and key or can vaux do anything cheers

you could try a bit of final finishing with a fine file just lay your old key over the new one to make sure it is spot on,

also do you have a big bunch of keys? if you do try taking them off as they can load the barrel making it hard to turn.

Alternativly take the key back and have it replaced.

I had this a few years ago when i snapped the only key for the nova, it took a few trips back to the shop to get the new key to fit right.

If you have your little card in the owners book with the radio code on etc you can take that to vaux and they will get you a new key cut. Think it was around £30 - £40 last time i had to get one from vaux.

You will of course need to take the transponder chip out of the snapped key and put it in your new key
