could anyone shed any more light on the situation? or any ways round it?

Re: suspenion problems
its all down to the tester if the tester feels that the car is unsafe and wouldnt carry there own family in the vehicle then it is a fail

ta mate. i have been told if i cable tie them to shocks its a pass. like i say its only when its jacked up. and the suspenion has been bought as a kit no cuting of springs or owt like that. also the testers braking a mk3. all abit sus if you ask me

Re: suspenion problems
sounds abit suspicious, probably the best thing to do is get it looked at by a different mot tester at a different garage see what they say about it. a decent garage will have a quick look and tell you of any problems and the best cure free of charge
