Personally looking at that caliper, I'd get a second hand unit to replace it.

Give it a squirt with penetrating fluid and, while that's working, go and buy an 'easy out' extractor of the correct size. Should come out relatively easily if you take care.
I've just bought this (and of course another!), along with disks from a chap on here. Unfortunate that this happens!
Just had a chat with a local garage, and he mentioned a price of £48, but couldn't guarantee the job!
Unsure how to proceed really, the chap in question has offered to make it up to me by sending some nova wing mirrorsas I also want a pair of these on my Mk1. He also advised it should be an easy ish fix.
You can get new nipples from vauxhall.
Part number 90094817 I believe...
go to a breakers that lets you wander around take the spanner for the bleed nipple "9mm" when you find a caliper that the nipple can be loosened then buy the caliper for 15 _20 pound ,
Some good thoughts there dudes. But I've spent £50 on this setup, so not feeling clever about buying other ones
Am going to hold off on the drill, going to soak it in wd40 for a couple of evenings, then attempt to careful chisel it out by tapping it round . . . see how we go i suppose
Possibly think of knocking an old hex or torx bit in and see if it will wind out with that.

BUT you should use a conical drill with these in order to get a decent grip. Don't go to deep, only drill the nipple, not the base material. I've used these literally hundreds of times, they're great when drilled correctly.
Note: the above may or may not be entirely correct.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, and then it struck me.
The cheapest option would be to try drill it out and hopefully if the drill is just the right size it will not cut into the threads in the main body and also the heat genereated by the drill will also shake the remenants of the threads loose. But ensure no swarf gets into the cylinder so you may well have to remove the pistons to make sure there is no deberi inside. get a nipple from another caliper to check for best size drill bit. If this fails then obviously you would have to spend on another caliper any way or spend £40 odd quid on easy out extractor kit or tapered drills. If you were a garage you would buy these tools for regular use, but for once in a while use you really don't want to tie up your money on unnecessary tools, and often when you need them you can't find them!
if it wasn't for the earth , there wouldn't be any universe, mother earth gave birth to all the creation! and without the earths gravitational pull, the sun and the moon would have long gone adrift!
i had a similar problem, an easy out set i bought for £7 did the trick, plus soaked it for ages with WD40
///
It's currently soaking in WD40
Thanks for all the ideas chaps, will try a few and see how we do
DON'T USE A CHISEL - either the twisted or straight easy outs should be a simple solution.
This is abit contradicting from my last post, but i snapped a Bleed nipple today on a set of 2.0 16v calipers just like yours, i was putting them on my gf's tigra because i had them lying about, i soaked it in wd-40 and tried to use an easy out and it snapped in the hole therefore caliper is now f***ed as u cant drill an easy out, out. never use Easy outs they never work on siezed things.
i ended up getting another caliper, youre best bet is drilling it mate or replacing it if that fails.

I bet you were gutted twice!! drilling is the best option and cheaper as everone has a drill and get a new bit won't set you back more than a pound, worst case senario you may have to tap the threads again to using cutting oils, but the caliperv could be saved.

lol i was gutted twice lmao!!!
jobs done now alls good.
in future i'll only be useing my air or electric impact gun, that normally always releases these things without napping thm

is it? or are you pointing out my type-o? lol

i have the exact same problem and was wondering what you say by drilling it out?
you use several drill bits and start increasing size until there is no broken nipple left??
wd40 and a blow torch normally loosens them off like a charm, try that then use a small torx bit solved my problem when i had this problem,
replace the caliper i had same prob and tried everything about a month ago and had no luck was quicker just to buy a new caliper even though i havent got one yet i tried the easy outs but it snapped i guess its just how seezed it is good luck anyway
ive snapped a few all i did is used some good peni oil and put a drill bit in it and worked it each way slowly and got them out.
