Where is the Diagnostic port on a Zafira?

Iv got a Tech2 at home and i usually connect it up to my X reg Vectra at home if and when the need arises.

However, my mates engine light has come ON on his X reg Zafira, so i thought id hook up the Tech2 to it to see what the code was. But not sure where the diagnostic port is for it?

And does anybody know which engine the 1.6 petrol is in the Zafira? i.e my Vectra is a 2.0 Diesel and the engine is a X20DTH.

diagnostic port is under the trim panel below the handbrake. same as vectra b and astra g. the 1.6 engine is most likely to be Z16XE, i don't think they put 8 valve engines (Z16SE or X16SZR) in the zafiras.

His EML light has been ON for about a month now but the day before i got there it just turned itself off. Is that a little bit strange or could it have just been a sensor and now its sorted itself out?

tell me was it a fuel trim fault p170 i think

Couldnt say mate, like i said we never got round to actually plugging it in coz his EML light has gone off.

you can still plug tech2 in, the fault code will still be registered as 'not present' in the fault code memory.
