    my red top calibra has oil in the water

    im lookin for a bit of help pleze ive rebuilt my c20xe after doing so i forgot to put anti freeze in the water by the time i got round to it it was too late i put anti freeze in in and ran it it ran sweet but i noticed oil in my water so i pulled my head of to find my block was cracked along 3 bores so i got a new block and rebuilt it to find it hadnt sorted it any help pleze

    if you replaced the block and its the very same then id look at the head

    you diddnt reuse an old knackered head gasket did ya?

    otherwise as said above you may have a warped head that needs a skim
    300bhp mk3 astra GSI LET (a work in progress)

    cheers i was thinking that ive heard of a pourous head is that what it does

    yeah if the heads porous then itll mix the water and oil, coscast heads dont suffer like the gm heads

    there s a diy mod to fix a porous head somewhere on here

    no i put every thing new on it just swapped crank pistons n conrods new gaskets
