Is it safe to do so with jubilees? What sort of pressures can they handle?

Pertek made mine once I gave them the measurments. | |

What sort of costs mate? I had ruled it out before but a place I used to work for used them on oil lines and they were rated alot higher than a car oil pump. I questioned it but the fitter said they were always fine, never got a chance to discuss it in detail though. | |

Cost me £50 but it all depends on how much you value your engine, people use jubilee clips often but after seeing what happened to my mates I would never do it. He may have not tightened it up enough and if done correctly it may have been ok.

ive joined my oil cooler hoses in 4 places on my LET  , made the joiners myself , and jube,d them , not had any problems , with leaks or bursts  . | |

the joiner needs to have a fat shoulder for the jube to butt up to , like a boost pipe has a lip to stop the hose blowing off , never use a straight bit of metal pipe  !!!!!! . | |

I'd go and visit the Pirtek man too.
They usually have offcuts from bigger jobs which are normally decent sized and can be had for "donations", get some couplings and you're off. Oh and they will have braided hoses.

yea best to get a braided line made up with new fittings. mocal supply some normal rubber hose and jubilee clips in their oil cooler kits so must be fine. would still recommend new braided pipes tho.. | |
