| vectra rear hub top wishbone bush r reg
car gas recently been making clunk at one side, upon examination it appears the rear hub top wishbone bush is well gone, all the rest look fine with no play in them. would this be enough to make a loud clonking noise when on move and when getting in out car? a thought could of been a broken drop link at first cause that the kind of sound it is making, but appears fine. no broken spring is there anything else on the damper it could be? come to think of it it makes more of a chong than a clunk! a have noticed that when the handbrake was on with the wheel up u could still move the wheel bout an inch before was locked. could this suggest that the drum/disk internals are loose, could this be the source of the noise? back to the bush, the actual bit that the bolt goes through looks fine it self its the rubber bit surrounding that is perished. are these easy to change? any help and advice appreciated, cheers dave |
