wipers wont return to correct position on intemitent

On my corsa b when i use the wipers on intermitent they will stop anywhere on the screen different place each time these is a real pain was wondering can anyone help/diagnos the problem? Thanks

i changed the motor on my girlfriends tigra when it happened to her and it has worked fine since

Yeh its the self park function on the motor playing up.
Just bin the motor.

Before you bin the motor i had a chance tonight to have a look at the car and found that it was the relay that was the problem. Changed the relay and wipers are working fine now. So i would suggest you check the relay before you spend any money on another motor.

there's 2 relays in the box in the engine bay, 1 is purple which i think is the fuel pump relay (i think), would it be the other opne i need to change or are there others as well in other areas?

on the corsa it was one of relays in the fuse box situated above the fuses if theres relays in yours it should show which one it is on the inside of the fusebox cover there should be a picture of a wiper on a screen. good luck
