    Astra Rear Axle

    Hello,

This is my first post here as i getting no joy from Vx Owners.

On a Mk 3 Astra, is there any differences in the rear axles on saloons and hatchbacks?

I have a '98 convertible (based on the saloon) and i think the rear axle trailing arm is bent.
A breakers nearby has a '93 hatchback with a decent axle on it.

I was going to get the rear axle and put all the bits from my car and new bushes, and replace.

    Any issues I may have?

    andy

Yeah, hatchback and saloon rear beams are the same. Vans and estates are slightly different though in that the shocks are mounted "upside down" compared to the hatch models.
