Can you not do it yourself if you think its so easy?
For the love of God, please read the rules
theyre probably charging so much for being so lazy, i would quote silly money to take up space in a garage to fit a solenoid, especially when i could have mechanics working on proper money makers instead of a solenoid.
sounds about right for a mainstream garage to do the job. 1.5 - 2 hours labour could easilly be £75.
Do it yourself or get a friend to do it for a couple of drinks.
its not being lazy mate after seeing the damage from someons melting there wiring loom in the boot im not willing to do it myself i know nothing at all about wiring
im a valeter i can spend 8 hours doing a car trust me if i could wire id do it im certainly not lazy im just not safe with wires
not anywhere i said it was easy i asked IS IT TOO MUCH
seems to me alot of you get your back up for no reason
it is a fact of life some people cannot do wiring at all however many diagrams etc i am one of those
i asked a question and a genuine question what am i being ripped into for
Just saying thats all.
How much is a vallet from you for example?
For the love of God, please read the rules
£30 for an average dependant to the level they want it doing
Hve you not had a ring round for a price on this boot pop?
For the love of God, please read the rules
most like you say wont do it i know its only a small job for someone who knows and its not worth it for some im prolly just best going for this one
i wasnt putting you down or anything i was just justifying why someone would want so much, your car would be nicking space for about an hour and a techy too, imo you could get someone to do it a lot cheaper try a garage thats not got lods of cars piled up.
practice, pratice and practice...
Get some wires and practice
Pactice, and then when you are good enough, try the job yourself....
It's not like the car doesn't work, it's no flat tyre, so you have time on your side!
Get one from a Daewoo Nexia, and use two wires and the switch (from the same car).
Here's some pics of mine from a few years ago:

basscrazy, why not post a request in your regional section and ask if theres anyone local to you that can do wiring? maybe sort them for beer tokens and a feed while their there doing it for you.
