a mate of mine has 1 of these but his alarm keeps going off this happened to my mk4 last year and it was the power sounder can you just replace that or does it have to be programmed as vaux didi mine and charged me £150 and are these prone for packing up
Afraid vaux ripped you off there mate, power sounders don't need to be programmed. You can buy new batterys for them, but have to carefully split the power sounder to replace them. Mine was doing this and i found the batterys had leaked all over the circuit board. Was about £50 for the new sounder. Its hidden behind the plastic wheel arch cover on the front passenger side, just take your wheel off, take the inner plastic arch cover out and you should see it to the right, two more torx screws to get it off then simply replace the power sounder then reverse and bobs your uncle job done.
