    ECU possibly dead?

I have just had my mate check out my turbo, i was not getting any spark.

So he checked for lives and found that there was a live at the ignition amplifier and the coil, but it was not switching.

Could this be anything other than ECU?

    Any advice appreciated!!

check if the ECU itself is getting live feed - by probing pins 37 (+) and 3 (-), and the way the pins go is: looking at the wide loom plug contacts dead on, with the widest row of 3 at the bottom:

    38-55
    20-37
1-19 (this is the row with two more pinholes than the other two)

    (paste from this thread)

if there is 0 volts on 2nd click of key, then check fuel pump relay (as this switches ECU on/off), then go checking back up the loom.

If ECU is on, then possibly faulty - check wiring between ECU and ignition amp.
