Astra GTE 8V Fuel Problem

I have an astra gte I'm putting back on the road, I have a problem with fuelling as the fuel pump does not get any voltage to it.
I have had the car started on a can of easy start spraying through the AFM. I have checked voltage across the pump with ignition on and whilst trying to start it and nothing - could it be a fuel cut off switch somewhere?

I have a replacement fuel relay coming just in case - also Ive tried a couple of different fuel pumps just in case.

the haynes book of lies doesnt tell me anything.

this is the last bit that needs doing before an MOT so fairly keen to get it going.

Could be a switch in the wire, or just a break. Wont be the pump if its not getting any voltage.

Try the new relay, if that doesnt work check there is a live on the fuel pump wire at the relay. If there is, assume theres a break in the wire for the fuel pump. The wire is a red/blue and runs from the relay, through the round plug to the fusebox, through fuse 19 (IIRC), then along behind the dash, through the big loom harness behind the kick plate in the passenger footwell, and then off to the back of the car along the passenger side. Check along the length for brakages.

If you dont fancy that, just run a new wire in place of the red/blue from the relay to the terminal on the pump, making sure you use an inline fuse

Re: Astra GTE 8V Fuel Problem

try bypasing the fuel pump relay pull the relay out and the 3 thick wires join all them by putting wire in them and see if that works i had to do that on my old one for a few days till got a new relay
