airbag/seatbelt light on

hi chaps, yesterday i bought a mk4 astra sxi.
the above mentioned light was on when i bought it.
i disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes, and it stayed off for over 24hours, but its come on again.

is there away i can test to eliminate what is at thought????

think it will need to be put on a Tech 2 machine to detect the fault and reset it

Its more than likely to be the seatbelt pretensioner connection under the seat as Astra g's suffer with that fault.When i was in the workshop the remedy was to cut the joiner plug off under the seat and hard wire them as they suffer with a high resistance in the plug that results with the airbag light coming on!!

Yes theres 1 plug under either front seat with 2 wires in it and from memory the plug is black!!

damn link does'nt work.
but its got to be it. coz i started the car up this morning and no warning light was on.
